The Washington Square Landmark District is nestled beneath the San Gabriel Mountains in Pasadena, California. Our historic district encompasses approximately 250 homes built mainly between 1910 and 1940. Architectural styles range from California Craftsman, Spanish Colonial, Tudor, English Cottage to Traditional. Our streets are lined with old-growth Camphor, California Oak and Palm trees which not only add beauty to our neighborhood but help keep our homes cool in the warm California summers. Neighbors also enjoy the 5.22 acre Washington Park which is planted by residents with native California plants and trees. The park includes areas for picnics, tennis, basketball, handball, baseball, parking and a playground.
